Kali Uchis‘ sophomore album, Sin Miedo, was released near the end of 2020. Prior to the release of her most recent album, Kali has sung in both English and Spanish. Unlike Sin Miedo, which has mostly Spanish lyrics, Sin Miedo is very much a Latin CD. Tiny and Jhay Cortez, two well-known Latin artists, have both contributed songs to the album. A daring move for an artist headquartered in the United States with an English-speaking fan base, the record has been deemed a risk.

The Family’s Home.
There was a constant flow of cousins from Pereira moving into the family’s home in order to find work, which made for a tumultuous household. To make ends meet, his properties would employ them as cleaners and construction laborers. His daughter would also help out when money was short.
As she recalls, “I was doing a lot of caulking and dry-walling.” I and my brothers and everyone else worked on building and car repairs together. ” It wasn’t a problem at all for me to put in the hours. When she was in high school, she was a member of the jazz band, playing saxophone and piano. When she started skipping classes and breaking curfews, her parents finally had enough and kicked her out of their home.
