Amber Heard has been active on social media recently, sharing a variety of training videos that indicate she is more than ready to return to Atlantis’ deep waters. There is a forthcoming sequel for Aquaman to consider, and Heard’s part will be expanded in the next film. Last week, though, Heard used social media to share a simpler shot, one without much commentary or cosmetics. The actress is clearly sporting a new look.
The photo was labeled “flashback Friday” on Instagram and merely showed a selfie of Amber Heard. This is in addition to what we’ve seen from the actress on her Instagram account, particularly given the fact that she’s currently shooting Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

According to reports, a Virginia judge will let Johnny Depp’s libel action against Heard proceed in the courts after Heard’s lawyer claimed that the case should be dismissed. That will not be the case, and these two are likely to face up in court again.
The case, which is set to be heard in a Virginia courtroom, originates from a libel action brought by Johnny Depp against Amber Heard in 2018 for claims she made in a Washington Post op-ed article.
In that post, Heard claimed that Depp was aggressive throughout their marriage, but he stopped short of identifying him. But it was only a technicality, as she couldn’t have been referring to anybody else.
This spurred Depp to file a slander and libel case, which some have estimated to be worth between $50 million and $70 million in damages.
Amber Heard’s legal team has been attempting to have the lawsuit dismissed, citing a judgment from a UK court last summer in a similar case. In that case, Johnny Depp had also sued The Sun, a British tabloid, for libel. In one of their conflicts, the latter called Depp a “wife-beater,” prompting the lawsuit.
The Sun had to defend and finally establish its argument in the subsequent court action that this term was “proper” for Johnny Depp. The hearings revealed a lot of devastating and humiliating disclosures regarding Depp and Heard’s marriage, and The Sun finally won the lawsuit. It was devastating for Depp, but not so much for Heard.

Amber Heard is claiming to be Johnny Depp.
The judge in the Virginia case has indicated that Amber Heard’s plea to have the lawsuit dismissed because of the UK court verdict was denied. The court referenced privity laws in his filing, claiming that Amber Heard (via the Washington Post) does not have the same tie to the case as The Sun in their legal struggle.
While there were parallels, he recognized that the connections were distinct enough that the case could proceed. This case does not yet have a court date, but if/when it does, it will undoubtedly raise some of the same difficulties as the one in England.
After The Sun won their lawsuit, Johnny Depp was fired from his parts in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as well as a cameo appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean.
In addition, the company has effectively buried another film he has previously finished, Minamata. Some wished Heard the same fate, and a Change.org petition with millions of signatures demanded her removal from the upcoming DC picture. That, however, will not be the case.
Amber Heard is comfortable publishing all kinds of social media updates, for the time being, knowing that she is securely planted in her place in the DC Universe. However, we will have to wait for the outcome of the legal case.
