Jack Gleeson, a Former Game of Thrones Actor, Wed Róisn O’ Mahony in a Private Ceremony.

In a “very modest” ceremony, Jack Gleeson wed his fiancée Roisin O’Mahony in Kerry. The 30-year-old entertainer has been seeing Roisin for a very long time—the precise start date is unknown—and has decided to exchange wedding vows in a simple but respectable manner.

The 30-year-old former Game of Thrones star and his actress-comedian fiancée were married in a private ceremony at The Sacred Heart Church in The Glen, Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, Ireland, according to parish priest Father Patsy Lynch, who tweeted about the event on Monday.

Father Patsy Lynch, the ceremony’s officiant, published multiple photos of himself and the happy couple on Twitter on Monday, August 29, along with the caption, “Very modest, prayerful and respectful marriage ceremony.”

It was a wonderful celebration, the minister continued. Everybody appeared to be at ease. I will treasure so many of the memories from this wonderful day.

Lynch said that the union was simply a “pre-wedding ceremony” and that the formal wedding would take place in England. Nevertheless, the family has spent a lot of time on vacation in Ballinskelligs, The Glen, and has many wonderful memories there.

The absolute simplicity, he said, “really touched everyone, and everyone was happy and content.” Everyone in this area is familiar with Jack, indicating that they all live in the same neighborhood. He is the kind of person that made me feel as though we had been friends for all of my life when I first met him. There is nothing artificial here.

After playing the villainous Prince Joffrey in Game of Thrones, Jack Gleeson, 30, took a six-year sabbatical from acting. He returned to acting in 2020 with the miniseries Out of Her Mind. He will also appear in the upcoming In the Land of Saints and Sinners Netflix film. The most recent acting role O’ Mahony had was in the BBC miniseries Laugh Lessons.

The intimate ceremony seems fitting for Gleeson, who said in 2016 that he wants “to live as normal a life as possible” despite Game of Thrones fame.

I think what makes me anxious is the status issue,” he reportedly added at the time. Wealth and kindness are not mutually exclusive, yet some individuals feel better and more deserving when they achieve renown. I feel so uneasy because of that. I do my best to stay away from that.

After his character on the HBO fantasy drama series was killed off in season 4, the Irish native claimed that the experience was “therapeutic, in a way.”

You want to be true to the character and the circumstance, he said in conclusion. It’s a complex situation because this is the first time I’ve ever seen a character die on film. You want the choking and coughing to seem real. Even though it was ultimately enjoyable, it was a little annoying to appear to be completely inattentive while being so focused. fascinating but difficult.

Gleeson expressed his desire to take a break from acting in the interview dated April 2014.

I’ve always used acting as a pastime or as a fun summer activity with my friends up until this point. I enjoyed it. When you rely on something for your livelihood, your connection with it changes. He stated at the time, “I don’t mind it; I simply don’t want to do it.”
