Farrokh Bulsara, nicknamed “Freddie Mercury,” was a British singer, songwriter, and record producer from London, England, who died on November 24, 1991. He was the lead singer for the rock band “Queen.” In addition, the vocalist was well-known for penning several hit songs. Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and many other songs are included.
Mercury also worked as a producer and a guest musician for several artists. He migrated from Zanzibar to Middlesex, England, when he was 17 years old. He spent the majority of his childhood in India. On September 5, 2018, Heathrow Airport staff (British Airways) honored the Queen’s singer’s birthday. Before starting his band, the iconic rock band singer worked as a baggage handler. The personnel at the airport executed dance styles inspired by Mercury.

Freddie Mercury’s Early Years
Freddie Mercury was born in Farrokh Bulsara in Stone Town, Sultanate of Zanzibar, on September 5, 1946. (now Tanzania). Freddie grew up in India with his parents Bomi and Jer, as well as his sister Kashmira, and began taking piano lessons at the age of seven. At the age of eight, he began attending St. Peter’s School, a boarding school in Bombay, and at the age of twelve, he established the Hectics, a rock and roll cover band.

Before joining Smile, a band created by Taylor and guitarist Brian May in April 1970, Freddie was a member of several bands, including Ibex and Sour Milk Tea. In 1971, bassist John Deacon joined the band, and Mercury determined the new band’s name should be Queen and drew the “Queen crest,” their emblem.
Personal Life, Girlfriend, and Spouse
He went to Ealing Art College and got a certificate in art and graphic design (now the Ealing campus of the University of West London). During college, he started dating “Mary Austin.”
In 1970, they got married. But in 1976, they chose to end their marriage. It seems that Mercury was gay and that he started dating Jim Hutton. Mary was shocked, but she knew what was going on. They were best friends until the end of his life.
He got married to his gay partner in 1985. Jim Hutton is the name of the man who is married to Freddie Mercury. In 1986, Mercury went to a clinic on Harley Street to get a test to see if he had HIV/AIDS. On November 24, 1991, he died at his home in Kensington. He was 45 years old. In his last days, Mary and Jim were with him.
