Bill and Melinda French Gates Announced Their Breakup in July, Committing $ 20 Billion to The Foundation!

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation said on Wednesday that Bill Gates will donate $20 billion to the organization this month as it seeks to increase its spending.

As the world’s fourth-richest person, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, tweeted, “Several significant worldwide setbacks over the past several years have left many people disillusioned and wondering whether the world is destined to go worse.”

According to Gates’ statement announcing the pledge, “I believe by contributing more, we may mitigate some of the sufferings and help accomplish the foundation’s vision, which is to offer every individual the opportunity to live a healthy and productive life.”

The foundation now expects to expand its annual investment to $9 billion by 2026, a 50% increase above pre-pandemic levels. As of now, it has an endowment of nearly $70 billion, the foundation said in a statement.

A nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by Bill and Melinda Gates has since become one of the world’s wealthiest. Bill Gates resigned from Microsoft in 2008 so he could devote more time to his foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Bill and Melinda French Gates made a $15 billion donation to the charity in July, shortly after announcing their breakup. Bill Gates stated in a letter accompanying the news that the foundation’s activities have helped half the percentage of people globally living in extreme poverty over the past 20 years.

” These two events might have long-lasting global economic effects, including waves of inflation cropping up in countries throughout the world that are raising the prices of everything from gasoline to fuel, he added.

Global economic growth is slowing, with rising interest rates and high inflation, according to Gates, who cited lower government spending during this year’s epidemic as a major factor in his decision to increase the foundation’s budget.
