Are you having trouble keeping up with all of the escalating costs? If this is the case, you are not alone. However, there is some good news. If you live in New Jersey, you may be on the receiving end of some money. Governor Phil Murphy recently approved a $500 tax relief for over 1 million New Jersey citizens. The Middle-Class Tax Reimbursement is the official name for this rebate.
Who is eligible for this state of New Jersey payment?
To begin, you must be a resident of New Jersey for all or part of 2020. You must file a 2020 NJ-1040 (which is a state of New Jersey Tax return). On your state tax return, you must include at least one kid as a dependant. You must also have a tax balance of at least one dollar.
Finally, people having the filing status of Married Filing Joint, Head of Household, or Surviving Spouse must have a New Jersey Gross Income of $150,000 or less. If you file as Single or Married Filing Separate, your New Jersey Gross Income must be $75,000 or less.
