Who Is Robert Crimo’s Mother: Denise Pesina Was Arrested for Domestic Assault While Bob Jr. Ran for Mayor!

Seven people were killed and many were injured when gunfire erupted during a July Fourth celebration in Highland Park, Illinois. Hours later, police arrested the guy they suspect was responsible.

In connection with the shooting, authorities say 21-year-old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III allegedly committed seven counts of first-degree murder by climbing onto the rooftop of a nearby business and opening fire minutes after the parade started, sending parade-goers and participants running for safety.

Press Conferences Were Held on Tuesday.

At one of three press conferences held on Tuesday, Lake County Major Crimes Task Force spokeswoman Chris Covelli said investigators believe the culprit planned “this attack for several weeks.” To hide his identity, Covelli added, the suspect wore women’s attire and blended in with the others as they fled the area.

However, Covelli says there is no evidence to suggest that the incident was “racially motivated, driven by religion, or any other protected status,” and that law enforcement is still investigating. Covelli says there is no evidence that anyone else was involved.

This person of interest was apprehended shortly after he was named publicly by police on Monday as a suspect in the shootings of many people during Highland Park’s Independence Day parade, as reported by the FBI.

The Suspect Stole His Mother’s Car.

According to Covelli, the suspect stole his mother’s car and was caught by a member of the community. A North Chicago police officer pulled him over after he dialed 911. He was arrested on suspicion of a DUI. On Wednesday, Eric Rinehart, Lake County’s state’s attorney, said he intends to ask the judge to hold Crimo in custody without bail.

“Dozens more charges,” Rinehart stated, will be added in the future. Crimo’s lawyer, Thomas Durkin, acknowledged to CNN that he is defending the actor. “I’m representing Crimo’s parents,” attorney Steve Greenberg stated in a statement posted Tuesday.

This is a tragic loss for many families, including the victims’ families, paradegoers, the community, and our own,” a statement reads. “We are all moms and fathers, sisters and brothers.” “Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,” the president said.
Cops seized knives from Crimo’s house after he threatened to kill people.

“The Threat Was Directed at Family Members.

According to Covelli, Highland Park police went to Crimo’s home in September 2019 after receiving reports from a family member that he had threatened to kill everyone.

When he spoke, he stated, “The threat was directed at family members inside the residence.” There were no arrests made as a result of the seizure of the bladed objects — 16 knives, a dagger, and a sword — because no complaints were filed against Crimo. Police in Highland Park alerted their counterparts in the state to the visit.

Covelli explained that at the time, an involuntary commitment was not a possibility. According to the Illinois State Police, local police reported the visit as a “Clear and Present Danger” to the agency.

A second statement from state police said that when officers arrived at the residence and asked the resident whether he felt like killing himself or others, “he said no.”

The Father Claimed that The Knives.

“In addition, the father claimed that the knives were his and that they were being kept in the individual’s closet for safekeeping. The Highland Park Police returned the father’s knives later that day, and based on that information “state police were added.

A firearms owner’s identification (FOID) card that should have been canceled was not found on Crimo, according to Master Sgt. Delilah Garcia of the State Police. Crimo submitted for a FOID card sponsored by his father in December 2019, according to a press release from the Illinois State Police.

“The application was sponsored by the subject’s father, who was under the age of 21 at the time of the application. There was insufficient evidence to prove a clear and present threat and hence refuse the FOID application at the time of its review in January 2020 “state police have stated.
