Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’s sleeve design was co-created by Sir Peter Blake CBE RDI RA (born June 25th, 1932), an English pop artist. Additionally, he’s most recognized for his work on the covers of two Who albums, Band-Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” and the Live Aid event poster. The Brit Award statuette for 2012 was designed by Blake as well. Blake is one of the best-known British pop artists and a significant figure in the genre. His collages are heavily influenced by imagery from popular culture, which he incorporates into his paintings. In 2002, he received a knighthood from the Queen for his contributions to the arts.
