Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, who plays power hungry Olaf, is also expected to return. Soren Pilmark (King Sweyn Forkbeard) and Bradley Freegard (King Canute) are also expected to return, as they each have grudges to settle.

Then, as they traverse the world, we can expect to see some fresh additions to the cast. Despite the fact that Jarl Haakon died in the first season, actress Caroline Henderson has encouraged fans not to rule out a comeback.

“She might appear as a ghost or something,” she said to Metro.co.uk. “She’s a pagan, and she believes strongly.” I think it was fantastic to portray it and be a part of that journey since she knows what’s going to happen.”

Leo Suter, who plays Harald, teased about his character’s relationship with Freyds and their future romance.

However, Leif was shown ready to pursue vengeance for what had occurred, especially after the unexpected death of his close warrior companion Liv. In an interview with Newsweek, Jeb Stuart revealed that the Vikings will travel throughout the world and encounter cultures they have never encountered before.
