Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas Runoff, and Minnesota Special Election Primary Outcomes in 2022!

Former President Donald Trump’s fury over the 2020 election has been felt most strongly in Georgia, where he is attempting to unseat statewide officeholders who certified that Vice President Joe Biden won the state.

Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger have been targeted by Trump. In an attempt to unseat Kemp, Trump endorsed former Senator David Perdue, who was defeated in a runoff election by Democrat Jon Ossoff, one of two Democrats elected to Georgia’s Senate seats in 2020, returning the Senate majority to the Democrats.

Republican presidential nomination.

At 8:30 p.m. ET, CBS News predicted that Kemp will comfortably beat Perdue and offer a rebuke to Trump by winning the Republican nomination. Kemp will face Stacey Abrams, a Democrat whom he beat in 2018.

In his concession statement, Perdue informed supporters, “I am totally backing Brian Kemp in his campaign to defeat Stacey Abrams.”

“We’re going to do all we can to prevent Stacey Abrams from becoming governor of Georgia.” Georgia’s secretary of state’s office tweeted on Tuesday that the state is on track to set a new high for midterm primary participation. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, whom Trump requested to “find” enough votes to reverse the results in January 2021, is expected to win the Republican nomination, according to CBS News.

That Questioned the Outcome of The Election.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is also running for reelection, after Trump urged him in January 2021 to “find” enough votes to reverse the results. Trump endorsed US Representative Jody Hice in the election.

On January 6, 2021, he was one of the House Republicans that questioned the election results in Pennsylvania and Arizona. Attorney General Chris Carr, who endorsed Kemp and Raffensperger in the 2020 election, is expected to overcome Trump’s primary candidate John Gordon.

However, CBS News predicts that Herschel Walker, a Trump-backed former football star, would defeat incumbent Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock in the Republican primary. Warnock is also expected to win the Democratic nomination, according to CBS News.

A Handful of Competitors.

Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene is expected to handily overcome a number of candidates in Georgia’s 14th District, according to CBS News. Greene sent a stern warning to what she sees as the Republican establishment in her victory comments “globalist aristocracy

” “Returning me to Washington will send a message to the establishment’s bloodsuckers. We, not them, will decide the political agenda for the next ten years “she remarked. CBS predicts that U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath, who now represents Georgia’s 6th District, will win the Democratic primary in the new 7th District. She beat incumbent 7th District Democratic Rep. Carolyn Bourdeaux.

Tuesday is also the primary day in Alabama and Arkansas. In the Senate contest for Alabama’s vacant seat, Trump has expressed his preferences twice. He first endorsed old ally Mo Brooks but retracted his support in March, when Brooks was losing ground in the polls. Brooks, who was one of the members of Congress who protested to election results after Trump withdrew his backing, claimed the former president “asked me to withdraw the 2020 elections.”

Despite Trump’s defection.

Despite losing Trump’s support, CBS News predicted that Brooks and Katie Britt, incumbent Sen. Richard Shelby’s former chief of staff, would reach a runoff.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Trump’s former White House press secretary, was predicted by CBS News to win Arkansas’ gubernatorial race after dominating the field in fundraising and polls. Mike Huckabee, her father, served as governor of Arkansas from 1996 until 2007.

eA few critical runoffs are taking place in Texas, which was rocked by a shooting near San Antonio on Tuesday. Rep. Henry Cuellar faces Jessica Cisneros in Texas’ 28th District after Cuellar failed to receive 50% of the vote in the March 1 primary.

General Ken Paxton will win easily.

According to CBS News, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will comfortably beat Land Commissioner George P. Bush in the Republican primary.

While Paxton has been embroiled in a slew of controversies, Bush — the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, nephew of former President George W. Bush, and grandson of former President George H.W. Bush – has been unable to shake his ties to the Bush family.

According to a Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation study conducted in April, 40% of Republican primary participants claimed they would never vote for Bush. Two-thirds of those polled claimed it’s because he’s a Bush family member. 41% stated they would not vote for Bush because he isn’t conservative enough.

Bush made a concession on Twitter and brought attention to the massacre in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday, which killed at least 18 children and one adult.

“However, in light of today’s awful events, it’s important to put life’s fleeting disappointments in perspective,” Bush remarked. “Today, there are bereaved parents in South Texas. My family and I share their grief.”
