Karim Kharbocun was born on November 9th, 1984 in Rabat, Morocco. At a young age, he was quite passionate about rap music and soccer, and this enthusiasm persisted throughout his adolescence. Along with his parents and brother Zack, he departed for New York City in 1996. Later, his father left the household and returned to Morocco. His mother was forced to rely on welfare in order to provide for her and her children.

Two gunmen opened fire on Montana as he left a recording studio in New York City. Montana is proficient in both his native Arabic and French, in addition to English. He was hospitalized for several weeks as a result of a bullet wound to the head. When the other attacker fired at one of the gunmen, he was killed. The investigation determined that Montana was not connected to the incident.

French Montana reportedly spent a lot of money on the home’s repairs and additions, including roughly $400,000 on a recording studio that is housed in the property’s guest house. In 2016, French Montana paid Selena Gomez $3.3 million for her 8,000-square-foot Calabasas mansion.
French put the house on the market in February 2020 for $6.6 million, double what he had paid. A few months after it was initially advertised, he lowered the cost to $5.999 million. He eventually sold the house for $5 million in September 2021.
