The Apple CEO and the company’s senior vice president of retail and people, Deirdre O’Brien, reportedly paid a visit at South Shore Hospital on Friday.
South Shore Health president and CEO Allen Smith told the station that “the real caring and kindness displayed by Tim and his team on this visit did so much to brighten the spirits of the patients and our colleagues.”

The office of Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says that Rein was charged with reckless homicide by car. The unfortunate tragedy, as recounted by Rein to investigators, was the result of his foot being stuck on the accelerator of his Toyota 4Runner.

The Patriot Ledger reports that 18 persons were sent to South Shore Hospital following the incident, and 8 of them were still there the following day. On Tuesday, two of them were in really serious condition, with one of them having shattered ribs.
Their prognosis, fortunately, was deemed “good” by medical professionals. A hospital spokesman assured the Patriot Ledger that there was no longer any danger of doctors being forced to perform amputations, despite earlier claims that the hospital was treating people with limb-threatening injuries.
Smith said in his statement to WCVB, “We are also so appreciative of the wonderful care our entire team has provided to these patients, from our (emergency medical services) at the scene of the accident right through to the emergency room, the trauma and critical care teams, and all the doctors, nurses, and colleagues who have provided care and support in the hospital and at home with our (Visiting Nurse Association) team.”

Reports indicate that Cook went to Alba, a steakhouse in Quincy, for dinner on Friday night after visiting the patients. The restaurant’s owner, Leo Keka, posed with Cook for a Facebook photo, which was shared with the restaurant’s fans.
On Saturday, WCVB reported, Cook spoke with staff at the Apple Store on Boylston Street in Boston.
