The police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a female hotel guest that occurred in a room that was located near the Meadowlands. The death took place in the room.
After the body was found the previous evening at the Super 8 Hotel in Carlstadt, New Jersey, located on Washington Avenue close to Route 120, fears were raised when her traveling companion could not be contacted.
The hotel in question is located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. On Tuesday, February 28, the body was located and recovered.
Responders have stated that they have a suspicion that the victim may have overdosed on drugs; however, the official diagnosis cannot be established until the toxicology tests have been completed by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to statements made by Mark Musella, the prosecutor for Bergen County, his Serious Crimes Unit is currently conducting an investigation.
The prosecutor noted that the identity of the woman was being kept secret temporarily pending the transmission of proper notifications to the next of kin. This was done in order to protect the woman’s safety.
The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office’s Department of Criminal Identification was the one responsible for collecting the evidence.
