Queen Elizabeth’s lifelong Page of the Backstairs, Paul Whybrew, played a key role in the funeral processions, standing behind the casket. Whybrew, who was so tall that he earned the nickname “Tall Paul” because of his height, was the Queen’s trusted servant for more than four decades.

Whybrew was present at the funeral rituals for Queen Elizabeth on Monday, and he was one of the mourners who filed in front of the Royal State Hearse as it brought the monarch’s body to Windsor Castle. Whybrew and Angela Kelly, the Queen’s dresser and close confidante, are the “most powerful” of the monarch’s loyal staff, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold, as reported by Insider.
