Ellis Was Fired from Her Position as A Deputy District Attorney After only Six Months Because She Refused to Prosecute a Case She Believed to Be Unjust. Â the Weld County District Attorney’s Office Declined to Comment when Contacted by The Wall Street Journal.
Records Obtained by The Colorado Sun Revealed that Ellis Had Been Fired for “mistakes,” Including Failing to “adhere” to The State of Colorado’s Victim Rights Act, in December of That Year. She Was Fired Because of “deficiencies in Her Education and Experience,” According to The Records, Which Allowed Her to Continue Receiving Unemployment Benefits Despite Her Dismissal.
