In the first half of the year, New Jersey residents can receive up to $1,500 through a programme, but they need to act quickly. The application deadline is in a little less than four weeks.
Homeowners and renters in New Jersey can apply for the Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters programme through January 31.

According to the New Jersey Department of Taxation, homeowners with yearly incomes of $150,000 or less would receive $1,500 under the programme, while those with incomes of more than $150,000 will receive $1,000.
New Jersey renters won’t get as much as homeowners, but they’ll still get a few hundred dollars. Rental applicants with annual incomes of $150,000 or less will receive a $450 reward.
Payments for eligible residents under this scheme will be disbursed by May of this year at the latest. To add insult to injury, the receivers will not be paid in the order in which they were received.

Homeowners can apply for the programme online or over the phone by dialling 877-658-2972 and providing their ANCHOR ID and PIN.
Applicants can also download an application form from the website, print it out, and submit it via regular mail together with the necessary materials.
Rental applicants are encouraged by the Taxation Department to submit their forms electronically.
