The 21 Counties in New Jersey Now Have Access to the Snap Navigator Program.

(TRENTON) – Sarah Adelman, the state’s Commissioner of Human Services, made the announcement today that the Department of Human Services has increased the number of Navigators that are available in a greater number of counties to assist individuals who are interested in applying for or who are already participating in the state’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

People who have questions about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and need assistance applying for SNAP benefits can get support from SNAP Navigators.

SNAP Navigators previously came from three different agencies and serviced various parts of the state. Currently, residents from all throughout the state of New Jersey have access to assistance from 11 different agencies that have SNAP Navigators, and one more agency will begin offering this service in January 2023.

Families who are having difficulty putting food on the table should not simultaneously have difficulty gaining access to assistance.
