N.o.r.e.’s Childhood

On September 6, 1977, in New York City, Victor Santiago Jr., better known as N.O.R.E. or Noreaga, was born. Together with Kiam “Capone” Holley, a fellow rapper from Queens, he made his significant entrance into the hip-hop scene in 1995. While serving a sentence for attempted murder in Greenhaven Prison in New York, Noreaga encountered Capone.

Capone-N-Noreaga is a musical project that Noreaga and Capone started after their release from prison. They quickly rose to the top of New York’s hottest rap duos. They released “The War Report,” their debut album, in 1996. Just when things were starting to go well for the pair, Capone was once more given a prison sentence for breaking the terms of his parole.
