It is no secret that modern standards have rendered text messaging service obsolete. However, many of us prefer text messages because of their simplicity. Despite the fact that sending a text message is relatively simple, errors such as “Message blocking is active” on your Android or iPhone can leave you scratching your head.
It is inconvenient when a fundamental function, like text messaging, fails to operate. In an effort to assist you, we have compiled a list of troubleshooting tips for resolving the ‘Message blocking is active’ error on your Android and iPhone. So, let’s take a look.
1. Verify the Recipient Number
If you mistyped the recipient’s number or entered the incorrect country code, your Android phone or iPhone may fail to send the text message. Therefore, when the ‘Message blocking is active’ error appears, the recipient number should be double-checked.
2. Check Your Carrier Plan
Have you forgotten to renew your cell phone plan? Or have you reached the monthly limit of your plan? If so, your carrier has a valid reason to block messaging services for your phone number.
You can contact your service provider or use its app to determine whether your plan has expired. If it has, you will need to renew your plan or increase your quota before you can once again send messages.
