The Reasons for Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s Messy Divorce!

Kelly Clarkson’s legal struggle with ex-boyfriend Brandon Blackstock is providing plenty of content for her upcoming album. After dating for two years, Clarkson and Blackstock finally got married in October 2013. I can’t handle this joy. Before they got married, she told Us Weekly that “he’s killing my creativity.” I’m writing all this positive nonsense. To put it bluntly, I can’t take it any longer.

In 2014, they welcomed their daughter River, and in April 2016, they welcomed their son Remington. With his ex-wife Melissa Ashworth, the talent manager has a daughter named Savannah and a son named Seth.

Kelly Clarkson initiated divorce proceedings against Brandon Blackstock in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences in the documents. Us Weekly(opens in new tab) reports that in June 2020, a source told the magazine that Kelly and Brandon’s time in quarantine had a profound effect on their perspective.

Being quarantined together exacerbated their preexisting tensions to an intolerable degree. That’s why they claimed, “she sought a divorce.” Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s ongoing legal battle over their breakup is giving the singer plenty of content for her upcoming album. After dating for two years, Clarkson and Blackstock finally sealed the knot in October 2013.

“I think parenting changes you in the best of ways,” Clarkson told Us in February of 2020. It’s challenging, but it’s worth it because it’s made me stronger. It’s the toughest job there is. Selflessness is developed, in my opinion. You’ll learn to set priorities the hard way. It was verified by Us in June of 2020 that Clarkson had filed for divorce from Blackstock after nearly seven years of marriage, alleging “irreconcilable disagreements.” This happened after the family of four had spent several months in Montana during the coronavirus outbreak.

Their Breakup

It’s kind of obvious, you know? The “Stronger” singer admitted to Willie Geist in September 2020, “My life has been a little bit of a dumpster.” The previous several months have been a little rough for me personally. A number of my close friends have just gone through a divorce, and I’ve been asking them about their experiences. It’s the worst thing ever for everyone involved, and I don’t know how people live through it without a release. The same month, Clarkson said she was trying to “manage” a public breakup.

“I don’t believe anyone expects it,” she told Hoda Kotb on the Today show after discussing divorce. You plan on spending your golden years together, but fate has other plans. It’s a trying time for everyone, and you know me, I’m a really honest person. I make an effort to be forthright and candid about the struggles I face… But we also share parenting of four children amongst us. There are a lot of hearts at stake, so exercise extreme caution. We’re in the spotlight, so maintaining privacy while telling the truth is challenging.

Cash Flow

Although a source told Us that the talk show presenter was ordered to pay her estranged spouse approximately $200,000 per month in support, the couple had not yet struck a “formal settlement” prior to finalizing their divorce. In July of 2021, an insider revealed, “It’s likely to happen shortly,” adding that, “despite reports,” their “prenup is not being fought.”

Justification for Breakup

Being quarantined together exacerbated their preexisting tensions to an intolerable degree. That’s why she filed for divorce,” a Clarkson insider told Us in June of 2020. Everyone assumed Kelly and Brandon‘s marriage was great, but that wasn’t the case. Brandon is cool as a cucumber, but Kelly is a nervous wreck. The insider also noted that “things” between them “shifted” once Clarkson started spending more time in California.

Agreement Regarding Custody

In 2020, November, the Us revealed that Clarkson had been awarded primary custody of his two children, a daughter named River and a son named Remington. For the sake of the children’s “stability and consistency,” the court has decided that “Petitioner” should be granted primary custody.

Disputes between the parents are getting worse. Due to trust concerns, the parents are having trouble working together. Blackstock will have daily FaceTime visits with the children “at a mutually agreed upon time,” and the former couple will share joint physical and legal custody of the children.
