A JetBlue plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, collided with the rear of a JetBlue plane that was parked at JFK Airport this morning.
The FAA estimates that the event occurred sometime between 7:00 and 7:00:00 a.m. while the plane was taking off from the gate. In a statement, JetBlue referred to the occurrence as a “minor touch.

Fortunately, nobody got hurt. JetBlue claims that the first plane was on its way to San Juan on a regular basis while the parked plane was empty.

The San Juan airplane circled back to the terminal, and JetBlue said that passengers will be rebooked on another trip.
Both aircraft will be removed from operation for inspection, and an investigation will be conducted, as “safety is JetBlue’s primary concern,” the company stated in a statement.
