New Jersey Police Seize 450 Pounds of Marijuana That Was Going to Be Sold Illegally From a Retail Outlet.

Officials say they arrested a man and a woman last week after seizing 450 pounds of illegal marijuana from an Evesham storefront and their house in another Burlington County town.

An Evesham police spokeswoman said the charges were the result of a “months-long” investigation into the selling of raw marijuana, marijuana variations, and marijuana edibles from a stand-alone company in the 900 blocks of Route 73 south.

Police in Evesham issued a statement saying they “recognize the state’s new rules governing the use and selling of recreational marijuana.”

The suspects in this case “disregard the safety of the citizens of New Jersey by distributing unregulated marijuana to our communities,” the prosecutor said.
