Application Deadline Extended for 2019 Anchor Program for Homeowners and Renters; Qualifying Tax Payers Can Receive Up to $1500

NJ– Property tax rebates are available in New Jersey. ANCHOR (Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters), formerly the Homestead Rebate Program, gives property tax reimbursements to NJ residents who owned or rented their house on October 1, 2019, filed state income taxes, and met income standards. Apply by February 28.

Mayor Donald Shaw stated that extending the deadline offers citizens more time to benefit from a program that will make their lives more affordable.

Residents who match one of these criteria should apply for the rebate:

Homeowners with incomes under $150,000 can receive $1,500.
Homeowners earning $150,000 to $250,000 can receive $1,000.
Renters under $150,000 can receive $450.

Eligible homeowners can apply online, by phone, or via the electronic filing system.
