BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – After a quarrel that took place on a subway train, the victim, who was 18 years old, was allegedly stabbed to death by a Brooklyn guy, according to the police.
According to the NYPD, Mark Smith, 25, was apprehended and charged with manslaughter, assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the stabbing murder of Isaiah Collazo, who was a resident of Staten Island. Collazo was found dead on April 6 after being stabbed.
During a quarrel that occurred on a northbound D train as it entered the Fourth Avenue and Pacific Street station, which is part of the complex that includes the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, Smith is accused of stabbing 18-year-old Collazo in the abdomen with a knife.
At the hospital, it was determined that Collazo was no longer alive. According to the allegations, Smith ran away from the station after the stabbing, but he was captured in less than a week.
