On the morning of March 5, 2021 — Friday — Chucky Trill was gunned down in Atlanta. The manager claims the 33-year-old is in Atlanta for NBA All-Star festivities. His scheduled appearance at a Houston-area virtual event was also mentioned in a Click2Houston article.

Chucky Trill, Was Shot and Killed Around Daybreak?
Many of the rapper’s followers on Twitter have tweeted “RIP #chuckytrill” in tribute to him. The tweet “…we lost a real one” was posted by a real one. Jail records show that he was 34 years old when he was booked into jail on Saturday. He had no bond set for his detention. There is no information in the jail database about a lawyer representing him.
Police in Gwinnett County, Georgia’s suburbs, previously confirmed that Detiege, a musician known by his stage name Chucky Trill, was shot and killed around daybreak on March 5. Design, age 33, was originally from Sugar Land. As far as we know, the police at the time did not reveal a reason for the murder.
The Houston Chronicle stated that in addition to his 2018 album, Music for the Soul, Chucky Trill was working on new material. With assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Atlanta Police Department, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office said that they had captured Thomas.
