Three Ways to Cast Your Ballot in The General Election on November 8

The New Jersey Division of Elections and Secretary of State Tahesha Way are reminding voters that there are three simple ways to cast their ballots in the upcoming General Election on November 8; details on each are accessible at VOTE.NJ.GOV:

1. At the polls on election day

2. Early voting in person

3. Cast a ballot by mail.

On the website, we’ve made it simple to locate secure ballot dropboxes, your polling place, or a county early voting station.

1. On Election Day, at a local polling place

On November 8, while voting is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., registered voters may cast their ballots in person at their polling location. Voters with impairments will be given special consideration. Visit the Voting Locations page on VOTE.NJ.GOV to find a polling location.

2. Early voting in person

During the nine days before election day, this option permits every registered voter to cast their ballot in person using a voting machine. When it suits their schedules best, voters can choose to cast a ballot in person. Any of the counties’ approved in-person early voting places are open to voters, regardless of where they reside in the county.

On VOTE.NJ.GOV, you may find county locations. From Saturday, October 29 to Sunday, November 6, early voting locations will be open in person. It will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday through Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. There is no need for an appointment. Voters with impairments will be given special consideration.

3. Cast a Ballot by Mail

By following the steps at VOTE.NJ.GOV or contacting their County Clerk, registered voters can apply for a vote by mail ballot. It’s once again as simple as voting, signing, and returning a mail-in ballot. Optional returns comprise:

Mail: It must have a postmark dated on or before November 8 at 8 p.m. and be received by their county board of elections by November 14 at the latest.
Safe Drop Box for Voting: By 8 p.m. on November 8th, place the ballot in one of their county’s safe ballot drop boxes. VOTE.NJ.GOV lists the locations of drop boxes.

Board of Elections Office: On November 8, before eight o’clock, deliver the ballot in person to the county board of elections office.
