The dates for Basic Food deposits in Washington are spread out over the first 20 days of each month. The date you get your benefits will depend on when you applied for them and when they were approved.

Washington State says that if your Basic Food application is approved, the system will automatically tell you when you will get your benefits. The date will be on your letter of approval.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has rules about how you can use your SNAP benefits, though. You can’t buy alcohol, cigarettes, vitamins, medicines, supplements, live animals, pet food, cleaning supplies, paper products, or cosmetics with your SNAP benefits. You also can’t buy hot food or meals that are already made.
