Rajon Rondo’s Net Worth: How Much Money Has Rondo Made in the NBA?

Rajon Ronda is worth 45 million dollars. Rajon Rondo is a basketball player from the United States. He plays in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played well for two years at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky Wildcats, and was then drafted into the NBA.

In 2006, the Phoenix Suns picked him, but he later went to play for the Boston Celtics. Rondo has been named to the NBA All-Star team four times and has won two NBA championships and many other awards. In 2012, he was named to the All-NBA Team, which is an honor given to the best players in the league every year.

Rajon Ronda’s Early Life

Rajon Pierre Rondo was born on February 22, 1986, in Louisville, Kentucky, and has three siblings. He has very little contact with his biological father, who abandoned him when he was seven years old.

His mother raised all four of his siblings by herself. Rondo was interested in football at first, but his mother persuaded him to play basketball because it would help him lose weight.

Rondo became serious about basketball and enrolled at Louisville’s Eastern High School. During his three years there, he earned All-State honors and was named 7th Region Player of the Year. Rondo then transferred to Virginia Oak Hill Academy for his senior year, where he set a new record with 303 assists while also averaging a double-double.

His 55-point performance in high school was the second-highest in Oak Hill Academy basketball history. Rondo was named to the McDonald’s All-American Team in 2004 and also played in the Jordan Capital Classic game.

Rondo then transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he faced Louisville, South Carolina, and Central Florida, but the Wildcats did not advance to the NCAA Tournament finals.

He did, however, break two Kentucky records: most steals in a single season and most rebounds in a game. He was selected for the United States men’s national basketball team’s under-21 squad, which won gold at the Global Games in Texas.

Rajon Ronda’s Career Achievements

Rondo dropped out of the final two seasons at the University of Kentucky because he was soon selected in the NBA draught. As the 21st overall pick in the 2006 NBA draught, he was initially selected by the Phoenix Suns. Later, he was traded, along with Brian Grant, to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Boston Celtics.

Rondo only had a supporting role when he was a rookie player, sharing time with Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair. Only 25 games were played in his rookie season, and only a few people noticed his debut or gave him a starting spot. He didn’t get a spot and more playing time until just before the halfway point of the season. The NBA All-Rookie second team selected him.

Rondo missed four tournaments because of a back problem, even though he went on to assist and steal in the ensuing season. Additionally, he suffered an ankle injury during the playoffs but quickly recovered to help the Celtics defeat the Lakers and claim the NBA title.

The following year, he was selected for the first All-Star team and set several franchise records. But in the championship game, Los Angeles Lakers defeated Boston Celtics. Rondo had to rest and recover from several injuries between the 2010 and 2011 seasons, though.

He was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks, but struggled to adjust to his new teammates and was forced to leave early. He later signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls after playing for the Sacramento Kings for one season.

He again only played for a year before signing a contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. He joined the Los Angeles Lakers, where he found more security and another NBA title. In 2020 and 2021, Rondo was observed switching between the Atlanta Hawks and the Los Angeles Clippers. He returned, though, and re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.
