On Thursday, police released surveillance footage showing two suspects, both armed with firearms, who are wanted in connection with a tragic shooting in Harlem.
Jose Morales, 39, was reportedly involved in an altercation with the two males shown on camera at 3 a.m. on Sunday near the corner of West 140th Street and Broadway.
One of the two guys allegedly shot Morales in the chest as the dispute heated up, while the other brandished a black firearm, according to the police.
Both of the perpetrators then fled the scene on foot. The two figures are seen in the video carrying weapons and making their way away.
After being transferred there, Morales was pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospital/Harlem.
Two men, around 35 to 40, of medium complexion are being sought. A black jacket, black and white trousers, black sneakers, and a black pistol were the last items seen on one of them.
Cameras saw his friend, also clad all in black (black hoodie, jeans, and boots), removing a gun from his right pocket.
No suspects have been apprehended as of Thursday afternoon. The culprits in the video have not yet been identified, and police are appealing to the public for assistance.
