According to her close ones, the Beverly Hills, 90210-star diedstars August 13. The news came just days after she was admitted to the hospital with severe meningitis. She was 64 years old.
Dowse had been in a coma for at least a week due to inflammation in the protective membranes around her brain and spinal cord.
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform everyone that my sister, Denise Dowse, has gone ahead to meet our family in eternity,” Tracey Dowse said on her sister’s Instagram page. “Denise Yvonne Dowse was the most amazing sister, a legendary entertainer, instructor, and chief.” She was my closest companion and last relative. Denise adored every one of you. I recognize that she is looking after us with all of her love. I requested security, and you followed up with requests.”
Tracey recently revealed Denise’s illness in a personal Instagram post.
“I’m requesting help and requests to God for myself, my sister, and my major close relatives, Denise Dowse,” she wrote on Aug. 9. “She is currently in the emergency room in a state of a coma brought on by a dangerous strain of meningitis.” Her PCPs have no idea when she will emerge from the trance-like state because it was not launched restoratively.”
