Away from Paris Saint-Germain, soccer players Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi proceeded to explore New York while taking advantage of everything the American Dream had to offer.
Following their extended World Cup tours, the pair had time off from the Ligue 1 club and flew to New York earlier this week.
The pair went to a different kind of local attraction on Thursday after being photographed courtside at the Brooklyn Nets’ victory over the San Antonio Spurs earlier in the week.
Exclusive information from DailyMail.com reveals that Mbappe and Hakimi passed their free time at the American Dream Mall, a shopping and entertainment centre in New Jersey not far from New York City.
Allen and David Ghermezian, the owners, hosted them and provided white-glove service. Huge celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Mr. Beast, Cardi B, and Off Set, to mention a few, have previously been entertained by the property’s proprietors.
Mbappe, a French star who has frequently been disparaged in jest by soccer supporters, was photographed posing next to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
First, they were driven in VIP Pink Golf Carts to Nickelodeon Universe, the biggest indoor amusement park in the Western Hemisphere, where they apparently had a blast.
Before riding a rollercoaster with the owners at the amusement park, the two posed with their thumbs up.
The group then travelled to The Escape Game, New Jersey’s best escape room, stopped for a snack at the Oreo Cafe within IT’SUGAR, and concluded their day trip at Dreamworks Waterpark, the biggest indoor waterpark in North America, which they had reserved just for themselves.
Both teams advanced to the World Cup’s final four, with France reaching the championship game, while Morocco lost to Mbappe and company in the semifinals and ultimately placed fourth.
They played in both of PSG’s first two games following the tournament after returning from international duty promptly, but the French champions lost to Lens 3-1 on Sunday.
Both players participated in the previous game against Strasbourg and started the shocking loss to Lens, playing the whole 90 minutes.
After being hurriedly inserted back into club play after the World Cup, head coach Christophe Galtier declared they need time to “recover.”
The colleagues loved watching the game from courtside after flying to New York City’s Big Apple rather than taking part in it. On Monday night, the Nets defeated the San Antonio Spurs 139-103.
Kevin Durant, who led all scorers with 25 points, was the highlight of the game. The PSG duo posed for photos with him on the field while Hakimi held up a Nets jersey.
On his Instagram, Mbappe shared a photo of the trio with the comment “Special night.”
After the game, Mbappe and Hakimi reconnected with the home squad, with the former congratulating the players as he entered the locker room.
“Great job, fellas. Congratulations. Watching it was incredibly enjoyable. As he moved through the changing area, Mbappe wished everyone well for the upcoming campaign.
Mbappe revealed his top five NBA players shortly after the game. The 24-year-old placed LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokoumpo, Luka Doncic, and Jayson Tatum at the top of his NBA player rankings, which were shared by NBA France on Twitter.
