MARY ELIZABETH, NEW JERSEY – Three males were arrested after an extensive investigation by multiple agencies into multiple armed robberies and a carjacking in Union County.
Alfred Pierre, 37, and Daron Thomas, 32, were arrested on Tuesday and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault, and weapons violations, according to Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel.
Isaiah Barrett, 32, was originally apprehended in December 2022 on suspicion of involvement in one of the crimes; further charges included robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault, and firearms violations.

Barrett was also charged with making up a crime to the police and using a minor to help with the fabrication.
Barrett, Pierre, and Thomas were identified as suspects in five armed robberies that occurred in different cities between December 2022 and January 2023 after a comprehensive and rigorous investigation by multiple police agencies.
They were also suspected of a carjacking that took place in Linden in January of 2023. Pierre and Thomas were taken into custody by the Intelligence and Narcotics Section of the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, as well as officers from Linden, Roselle, Elizabeth, Orange, and the New Jersey State Parole Board. Arresting them was uneventful, and they were taken to the Union County Police Station.
Assistant Prosecutor Melissa Caparruva will be leading the prosecution of the case, and Prosecutor Daniel praised the detectives for their perseverance and commitment.
Until when proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, defendants enjoy the presumption of innocence.
