After allegedly shooting and murdering a lady in Prince George’s County on March 28, a man from Baltimore is now facing charges of murder in connection with the incident.
In response to the incident that took place in the 600 block of Drum Avenue, police were contacted.
The woman, identified as Lidia Carillo, was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound; she passed away shortly afterward.
Carillo reportedly traveled all the way from El Salvador to Alexandria on March 27 in order to pay her respects at the funeral of her grandson, who had been killed in a car accident in Alexandria on March 27.
After conducting additional research, the authorities were able to identify the culprit as Troy Medley, who is 36 years old.
The suspect has been determined to have no known connections, and the police have been unable to determine a motive for the crime.
In addition to other allegations, Medley is accused of murder in the first and second degrees, assault, and violations involving guns.
On April 6, he was arrested in Baltimore on unrelated charges, and he is currently detained there while awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
