Police Hurt in Hoboken Brawl That Also Results in the Arrest of Two People

On Tuesday, April 11, law enforcement officers from across Hudson County descended on Hoboken in response to a brawl that had drawn a huge crowd. As a result of the incident, one officer was hurt and two persons were taken into custody.

According to the officers who responded, the Hoboken police were summoned to 510 Jackson St. after receiving a report of persons fighting.

According to the police, when officers arrived, they witnessed Melissa Walker, a 37-year-old resident of Hoboken, punch another lady in the face many times.

Rocky Walker, a resident of Hoboken who is 42 years old and is Melissa’s cousin, was allegedly attempting to pull police off of Melissa as they were trying to break up the incident, according to the cops who responded.

Officers said that an enormous crowd started to assemble at the location, which prompted the police to seek further assistance.

According to the police, officers who responded to the situation from Union City, Port Authority, Secaucus, West New York, North Bergen, Stevens University of Technology, New Jersey Transit Police, and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office were successful in restoring order.

According to police, an emergency medical technician helped a police officer suffering from leg pain. Both of their cousin Walker was charged with disorderly conduct for their behavior.

While Ricky was charged with simple assault as well as resisting arrest, Melissa was charged with the more serious offense of aggravated assault. According to the police, both were served with a summons and released from detention.
