Police say that two twin brothers from Newark have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man in Jersey City.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II. says that Dequan and Uquan Meadows, who are both 24, killed Boubacar Doukoure, who was 29.
At 5:28 p.m. on Jan. 24, police were called to the 100 block of Clinton Avenue in Newark because someone had been shot. Stephens said that Doukoure was found not moving in a parking lot at 6:02 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation by the Homicide Task Force of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, both Dequan and Uquan Meadows were charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and weapons violations.
