NEW YORK — It has been suggested that the management business for a New York hotel has been exploiting the people who work there in some way.
Because the corporation misclassified its workers as independent contractors, Greenparc Hospitality did not provide its employees with overtime pay or other benefits, as determined by the findings of federal investigators.
The authorities have stated that the investigation is centered on 71 individuals who work for around 20 different hotels in New York City.
Upon the completion of the investigation, the employees were awarded 113 613 dollars in back wages as well as liquidated damages.
