Female Pa Driver Arrested After $77,500 Cash Seizure by Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Detectives on Money Laundering Charges

After conducting a traffic stop, narcotics cops from Bergen County, New Jersey, reportedly took $77,500 in cash from an unemployed lady from Pennsylvania that they believed to be drug money.

Mark Musella, the prosecutor for Bergen County, stated that Joseline De Jesus-Quinones, age 28, of Allentown was charged with money laundering and released on a summons to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

He did not elaborate on the location of the halt within the county.

It is quite unlikely that the defendant will appear in court. The nation’s largest medication suppliers view seizures like this as an inevitable part of doing business.

In the meantime, the money is kept by the local authorities for use in purchasing equipment and other purposes.
