The Identity of Vicky Pryce’s Spouse Has Long Been a Mystery. Family and Private Matters

Vasiliki Vicky Pryce was born on July 15, 1952, in Athens, Greece (then known as the Peloponnese). From a young age on, she had a habit of spending much of her time outside, coming and going from her childhood home.

When she was 17, she uprooted to London to finish her education. She received both her BSc in Economics and her MSc in Monetary Economics from London’s London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (MSc).

She was also very dedicated to her schoolwork and her longtime passion for bicycling, which she developed throughout her time in elementary school.

People who knew her as a child all predicted that she would go far in life. Later in her career, she became the head economist at the William and Glyn’s Bank, which is now a division of Scotland’s Royal Bank.

Career Path of Vicky Pryce

Pryce worked as an economist for Williams & Glyn’s Bank from 1973 to 1983, during which time she rose to the position of head economist at the bank. She earned her MSc in Monetary Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

She worked as a corporate economist at Exxon Europe from 1983 to 1986, after having previously worked as a banker at Williams & Glyn’s. From 1986 until 2001, she was the head economist for both Peat Marwick McLintock and KPMG International Limited.

When Pryce was named the Department of Trade and Industry’s Chief Economic Advisor in August 2002, she made history as the first woman to hold that position. Pryce has also taken on the role of chairwoman for the business ethics advocacy group GoodCorporation.

Throughout His Academic Career, Pryce Has Accomplished the Following.

She was not only an outstanding business economist but also a respected academic. She taught as an adjunct at Cass Business School, City University, from 2002 to 2008.

She joined the Society of Business Economists in 2002 and taught as a visiting professor at Imperial College’s business school from 2008 to 2011.

The first woman to serve as Master of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants, she made history in 2010. From 2021 till the present, Pryce has also held the position of visiting professor at both Birmingham City University and King’s College London.

Not only did Pryce lead an active professional and personal life, but she was also very involved in her community and marriage.

Pryce’s first husband was Gareth Pryce, a graduate student at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). They were married for several happy years and had two beautiful daughters.

After a happy marriage for several years, the couple decided to separate in 1981. She devoted herself to her career following her divorce, and it wasn’t until 1984, three years after her first marriage ended, that she met Chris Huhne.

Pryce’s second husband, Chris Huhne, is a politician who represents the Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament and the Eastleigh constituency. Following her marriage to her second husband, she started a family with three children.

Vicky Pryce’s Husbands: Where Are They Now?

Her first marriage ended in divorce in 1981, and she subsequently wed political powerhouse Chris Huhne. Pryce’s second marriage likewise failed despite her undying devotion to her husband.

In the first month of 2011, the couple filed for divorce. After finalizing their divorce, the couple was found guilty of perverting the course of justice and given an eight-month prison sentence. Both Pryce and Huhne were found guilty after their trials. They spent nine weeks in jail together.

Huhne’s infidelity with Carina Trimingham led to Pryce and their children filing for divorce after a very happy marriage. After he admitted it, Pryce became unhappy with him, and the couple separated in 2011. So, their marriage was officially dissolved.
