The Attorney General of Illinois is in favor of a new law that would make gun makers responsible for the violence.
Kwame Raoul is one of 18 attorneys general who supported a controversial gun law in New Jersey by signing a brief.
The law would make it possible to sue people in the gun business when gun violence hurts the public.
But a trade group for guns sued to stop the law from going into effect. Raoul and his group are asking a judge to let the law go forward.
