An alert has been issued by the Montgomery County Department of Police as they seek the assistance of the general public in locating a man who is wanted for a series of crimes that were committed in the area in recent months. The man, who is 55 years old, is wanted for committing these crimes in the local area.
Jonah Ammiel Carter, a resident of Gaithersburg, is wanted for questioning in connection with alleged theft and burglary offenses committed at multiple sites in Burtonsville, Silver Spring, and Kensington.
According to the allegations, Carter stole “huge quantities of stuff” from the following:
- On Monday, January 16, we visited the Giant Food store located in the 1200 block of East West Highway;
- Monday, February 6th, at the Giant Food located in the 15000 block of Old Columbia Pike;
- On Wednesday, November 16, we visited the Safeway located on the 10000 block of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington.
The investigators did not reveal any further robberies that occurred.
