Tomorrow, California will have fully implemented its program to provide households with respite from rising prices owing to high inflation, which includes payments of up to $1,050.
In order to facilitate the distribution of the Middle-Class Tax Refund, the state of California began issuing debit cards and conducting direct deposits to qualified residents in the month of October 2022. In the next few days, we will have completed the distribution of payments.

Each resident’s payment amount is different and is based on their income and the number of people who depend on them.
A maximum of $1,050 is available to joint filers with dependents whose combined income does not exceed $150,000.
When filing as an individual, if your annual income is between $125,000 and $250,000 and you have no dependents, you will receive a payment of $200.
Applicants must have lived in California for at least six months during the 2020 tax year, filed their taxes for that year by October 15, 2021, and earned less than $250,000 as an individual or $500,000 as a couple.

The state of California has said that any citizen who is qualified to claim a dependant for tax purposes in 2020 is ineligible for this tax refund scheme.
