U.S. CAPITAL – After a triple shooting in Southeast D.C., one woman is dead, another is in the hospital, and a juvenile has been charged with gun possession.
Police said the deadly incident occurred on Benning Road near H Street Southeast on Tuesday night.

The 911 call came to D.C. authorities at around 8:50 p.m., they added.
When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered three people who had been shot.
It appears that an innocent bystander was shot in the head while she was inside Moon Star Carry-Out, according to the police. At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.
A guy and a teenager were found alive and alert, police reported in a late-night press announcement. Both the guy and the youngster, who is only 15, were hit by bullets. Police said both were severely injured and transported to a nearby hospital.
The 15-year-old was arrested after a gun was discovered in his pants. The shooter was confronted by gunfire, according to the police, and he returned fire. He is accused of carrying a weapon without a permit.
