According to the authorities, two males from Newark have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in the corridor of an apartment building.
According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, Ibn Hill, age 22, and Tyquan Zigler, age 27, both of Newark, have been charged with the murder of Jerry Works Jr., age 50, of Newark, which occurred in 2020. Both men are from Newark.

The Newark Police Department received a call about a shooting on the 100 block of Brenner Street on September 14, 2020.
Stephens reported that the police discovered Works suffering from a gunshot wound in the common corridor of an apartment complex. After being transported to University Hospital, he was pronounced dead at 2:18 p.m. on the day in question.
Hill was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and weapons violations, according to Stephens. The charges stem from an investigation that was conducted by the Murder Task Force of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the prosecution, Zigler was charged with participating in a plot to commit murder.
The two accused were both taken into custody. The study is currently underway and will continue.
