The first season of the show have been renewed for a second season back in October 2021. Additionally, Salvor Hardin’s star Leah Harvey confirmed on Instagram that the Canary Island of Fuerteventura is the location of the main photography.

With all of this information in mind, it appears that season 2 of Foundation is being produced quickly and with no delays in the near future. Given that the show is already in production, it would appear that the epic sci-fi will return.

In order for you to be excited about the upcoming episode and be ready before the series airs on Apple TV+, we’ve put together a concise summary of everything you need to know about the official release date, storyline, and cast. Here is everything we currently know about Foundation Season 2.

Foundation Season 2 Plot:

Although it is anticipated that the series would start up exactly where Foundation Season 1 left off with Episode 10, The Leap, which was published on November 19, 2021. David S. Goyer wrote the script and directed the episode. Foundation Season 2 (2)

Though the precise plotline of the series is planned to be picked up shortly after Foundation Season 1 finished with Episode 10, The Leap, published on November 19, 2021. David S. Goyer wrote and directed the episode. According to the official summary, “an unexpected ally assists Salvor in brokering an alliance; a clash between the Brothers leads to inconceivable results.”

Hugo becomes captain of the Immortal a few months later, while Salvor runs for mayor of Terminus. Salvor leaves Terminus in pursuit of Gaal after discovering that her visions are the memories of her genetic parents.

Gaal lands on Synnax in the year 12,240 E.I., where she uncovers another pod immersed in spaceship debris and awakens Salvor, who tells her she is her daughter. Day discovers later that the anti-Empire plan interfered with Cleon I’s body a long time ago, affecting not only all extant replacement clones but also Day and potentially his progenitors.

Furthermore, in the same Apple TV+ news release, Matt Cherniss hinted at the potential plotlines that viewers should look forward to in the forthcoming season.

As he put it, “I’ve fantasized of how Hari Seldon and Eto Demerzel would look and sound — what Terminus and Trantor would feel like since my boyhood,” said showrunner and executive producer David S. Goyer. “With season two, our audience will be able to see even more of Asimov’s unforgettable characters and places, such as Hober Mallow, General Bel Riose, and all the Outer Suns.

” I’m overjoyed that Asimov’s magnificent classic is being read by a whole new generation of enthusiasts. With ‘Foundation,’ we’re playing the long game, and I’m grateful to my partners at Apple and Skydance for entrusting me with this epic. Fasten your seatbelts. We’re about to fold a lot of space.”

“David Goyer’s ‘Foundation’ has beyond all of my expectations by bringing my father’s philosophy and concepts to the screen in ways my father could never do while remaining loyal to his work,” said Robyn Asimov, an executive producer on the series. “I know my father would have been thrilled to see his classic story brought to life by the show’s visual beauty and nuanced characters, knowing full well that his words would require this cinematic translation.”

My father was very grateful to his admirers for their support and always hoped that his work would be passed down to future generations. The ‘Foundation’ TV series is granting his (and mine) wish by introducing his work to a large number of new readers. Given the intellectual character of the Foundation books, this series is a triumph.”

Foundation Season 2 Cast:

Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, and Cassian Bilton feature in the Apple Original drama. Furthermore, according to Apple TV+’s official press release, the new cast members of Foundation for Season 2 include:

Sandra Yi Sencindiver plays Enjoiner Rue, Queen Sareth’s gorgeous and politically astute consigliere. Rue, a former courtesan to Cleon the 16th, rose through the ranks to become a royal counselor.
Ella-Rae Smith as Cloud Dominion’s Queen Sareth – Sareth is used to being underestimated, and she uses it to her advantage, charming her way into the Imperial Palace with sharp humor, all while on a hidden revenge mission.

Hober Mallow, played by Dimitri Leonidas, is a master merchant with a sardonic disposition and questionable morals who is summoned against his choice to serve a higher, selfless purpose.

We, therefore, advise fans to exercise patience as the network will finally confirm all the episode names for each next season.
