On Wednesday, the FBI stated that it will boost the reward for information leading to an arrest in the investigation of the pipe bombs that were sent to the national headquarters of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party on January 5, 2021.
The agency has upped the reward to 0,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the pipe bombs found near the offices of the Republican National Committee and the Democratic National Committee on the day of the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

FBI Washington Field Office Assistant Director David Sundberg said in a statement, “With the significantly increased reward, we urge those who may have previously hesitated to contact us — or who may not have realized they had important information — to review the information on our website and come forward with anything relevant.”
The FBI put out a reward of $100,000 for information leading to the perpetrators in the months after the attack.

In spite of over 500 tips and over a thousand interviews, the FBI has not been able to locate the perpetrator.
According to Sundberg, “the FBI and our partners continue to work persistently to bring the perpetrator of these dangerous attempted acts to justice, despite the tremendous volume of data evaluation involved in this case.”
In 2016, then-Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was in the Democratic National Committee headquarters when a pipe bomb was discovered nearby, prompting her immediate evacuation.
The request for documents arrives shortly before the two-year anniversary of the deadly Capitol riot.
