Dramatic Rescue of a Woman From a Submerged Car in a Freezing Pond is Caught on Police Body Cams in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania emergency personnel rescued a woman from her submerged vehicle after she had driven into a pond.

Manheim Township police told the story of the heroic rescue from two angles. The first one is a vantage point from the shore, while the second is a first-person account of the officer who braved the water.

Near the corner of Oregon Pike and Valleybrook Road in Manheim Township, at around 8 o’clock that Thursday evening, emergency personnel responded to a report of a car having crashed into a pond.

Officers arrived to find a woman stuck in a flooded automobile up to her neck in water.

The moment the car was entirely submerged, officers Kyle Carner and Anthony DiClemente dove into the water and smashed the driver’s window.

The officers risk their lives by entering the frigid water to pry through the door and rescue the woman.

After getting her out of the car, the officers dragged her to the water’s edge, where she was attended to by paramedics.

The Lancaster motorist, 59, received minor injuries and was transferred to a nearby hospital.

After looking into the matter, authorities concluded that the motorist had simply misread the turn leading up to the accident.

“Without a second’s thought, the policemen dove into the water. The driver’s life was probably spared thanks to the prompt actions of these police officers “Police Chief Thomas Rudzinski stated in a statement.
