Authorities said that a 20-year-old New Jersey man was shot on Friday, July 8 during a home party.

McDonald, the victim was one of the many attendees at a party held somewhere close to Arnold Avenue when police discovered him at Vermeule Park in North Plainfield at 10:45 p.m. with an upper-body gunshot wound.
The shooting victim, who was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at an unidentified local hospital, was attended to by officers and responding emergency medical personnel.
Authorities are investigating the shooting’s motivation and if a possible altercation at the party contributed to the shooting’s several gunshots.
