Just in time for the 20th anniversary — in 2023 — the iconic Bamboozle music festival has made formal announcements of its return to Asbury Park, New Jersey.
There aren’t any bands to announce just yet, and who can predict what type of reunion performances and unique one-off events will take place? Several dates should be noted: May 5-7, 2023.

Following a few teaser posts that surfaced on social media in the months prior to today’s video announcement, the company’s founder John D’Esposito wrote on Facebook today, “I assure each and every one of you that the 2023 Bamboozle will not only re-create our legacy but will advance it for our next generation to experience. We’ve missed all of you with the rides, games, hints, and puzzles, wrestling, comedy, vendor villages, mosh pits, live concerts, stage dives, and so many more really fun concepts I’ve been trying to integrate.
Ten years will be plenty, he added. “I wanted to wait till we could celebrate 20 because 2022 wasn’t the proper time, but I tell you that we will celebrate 30. When I’m ready to stand aside, I want to hand the reins over to my kids and let them run with it. That will never happen again since this is and always will be a family-run business.

D’Esposito told the Asbury Park Press in New Jersey that it was fantastic to be back. We’re going to honor our origins because we wouldn’t be here 20 years later if the festival wasn’t meaningful to a lot of people. When Bamboozle returns, it won’t look the same because the scenes change and adapt.
