Literal translation: Similar to Spotify, Apple Music is a paid service that gives users access to a library of over 90 million songs. It stores all of your music in one location, including CD-ripped tracks, and has several useful features, such as offline listening when you don’t have internet access.

In addition to on-demand music and live radio, Apple Music also features Siri integration for hands-free voice control. This section provides comprehensive details about Apple Music, such as its features, pricing, and usage instructions.

After Apple purchased Beats Electronics in 2014, including the Beats Music subscription service, Apple launched Apple Music in 2015. When you subscribe to Apple Music, you can listen to any song in the iTunes library whenever you want to hear it, and you can also access all of your music—whether it was purchased from iTunes, copied from a CD, or downloaded from the internet—in one central location across all of your devices.

The streaming service also provides personalized recommendations, internet radio (including the Apple Music 1 (formerly Beats 1) radio station among others), the ability to download songs to listen to offline, curated playlists compiled by music industry professionals, Siri integration on iOS devices, and a lyrics viewer, among other features.

Apple Music may be accessed in over a hundred different nations, including the United States and Great Britain. Look at the complete index here.

To Whom May I Inquire Concerning the Operation of Apple Music?

As soon as you install the Apple Music app and sign up, you’ll be guided through a music-tailoring process in which you’ll be asked to rate your level of interest in various musical genres and then individual performers. After completing the brief procedure, you will be brought to the Listen Now screen.

You can use the bar at the bottom of the screen to get to different parts of Apple Music or to switch between them. There are five screen tabs in the menu bar:

Listen Now: A curated selection of music you should appreciate. It takes into account your stated preferences, your listening history, and the music you already own. When you initially open Apple Music, you’ll be asked to select your preferred musical styles and artists. Following that, the screen will be flooded with recommendations, such as albums, guest playlists prepared by the artists themselves, playlists organized by genre, and so on. You’ll find the Recently Played section, as well as playlists based on your previous selections.

How to Make a Playlist?

Listen to music that has been hand-picked by an editor. Popular playlists, songs, albums, new releases, etc. are featured here as well. These newly curated collections can also be viewed according to their genre. You’ll also find Artist Interviews, Daily Top 100 lists, City Charts, and Music By Mood, among others.

Radio: This is where you may tune in to Apple Music 1, a worldwide radio broadcast that airs nonstop. At the very top of the section, you’ll find a play button. The Pandora-like stations and the pre-Pandora iTunes Radio channels follow below. Additionally, you have access to a personalized radio station that plays music it believes you’ll like based on your past listening history.

The Library tab in iTunes allows you to easily access all of your music, whether it’s on a physical disc, in your digital collection or streamed from Apple Music. Yours most recently added songs, albums, and playlists will always be displayed in their respective “playlists,” “artists,” and “albums,” respectively. Changing the look of this page is easy.

In Apple Music, you may search across both the service’s extensive catalog and your personal collection using the Search button. If you know a few words from the lyrics of a song you like, you can use those to do a lyric search. What’s popular in this area will also be displayed.

Just How Does Apple Music Function?

Apple Music is equipped with numerous features, settings, and customization choices. A few of the most important ones are listed below:

Play music: Tap any play button on a playlist, or tap on an individual song or album, to have a mini player appear at the bottom of the screen. By tapping the mini-player, you can access the Now Playing screen, where you can do things like download the current track for offline listening, skip to the next track, rate the current track, like it or dislike it, share it, play it over AirPlay, add the track to your library, create a new station, or view the lyrics. Swipe down to exit.

To hear all of Drake’s music, even if it isn’t in your library, just ask Siri to “play the top songs from 2021,” “play more songs like this,” “add the new Drake album to my library,” “play all songs by Drake,” or “play my music by Drake.” Siri can be asked to randomly play songs from a specific album or playlist. Siri will soon be able to manage a brand new kind of playlist. You may, for instance, consult Siri on music selection for your dinner party.

To conduct a search for specific genres, songs, albums, or artists, use the search bar (magnifying glass icon) in the app’s lower-right corner. Both your own music library and Apple Music can be searched. Searching for Drake will return the most relevant results, including songs, albums, playlists, artists, and radio stations. Simply select “Your Library” from the menu bar to listen to songs that you already have in your library.
