Another Whale Carcass Washes up On the New Jersey Shore.

A whale washed up dead off the coast of Manasquan, making it at least the ninth whale to be discovered dead around the beaches of New York and New Jersey.

The crew from the Marine Mammal Stranding Center has arrived to establish the whale’s species and cause of death.

In the past few months, approximately twenty whales have been discovered dead along the whole East Coast. It has become an issue for the environment.

Twelve New Jersey mayors signed a petition to Congress demanding an immediate halt to offshore wind farm studies.

There are differing opinions on the matter. Local environmental groups, such as Clean Ocean Action, have also stated that the connection between wind farms and the whale deaths must be investigated.

“We are witnessing unprecedentedly huge industrialization of the ocean, and this is just the beginning. There are already so many whales that have died “Cindy Zipf of Clean Ocean Action states.

Some climate campaigners argue that the conclusion is premature. Environmental and energy officials at the federal level have stated that the offshore wind power business is not to blame.

Local officials are asking the public to stay away from the carcass because the reason of the deaths is still unknown.
